Events
- Winter Coat Drive in underway and runs until January 7, 2009. We
will be collecting gently used coats for men, women and children as
part of the Philadelphia Cares winter coat project.
- December 28th from 7:00-9:00 Rosh Hodesh meets in the Library.
- December 28th from 7:30 Rosh Hodesh will meet at Thai Place restaurant,
700 Nutt Road , in Phoenixville. All are welcome and should contact
Jodi Rosenfeld with any questions.
- Sisterhood Shabbat is January 9th. If you would like to be part

prepare meals for frail elderly shut-ins.

- Schmooze and a SchMovie will be starting February 7th at 7:00 pm.
Please join us for this new program which promises to be entertaining.
The films for week 1 will be The Holocaust Tourist and Everything
is Illuminated. Free babysitting is available but requires a reservation.
- It’s time to start to read the 2001 Pulitzer Prize winner,
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and clay by Michael Chabon. We
will discuss the amazing book on Monday, February 9th at 7:00pm in
the library. All are invited.
- Purim planning for the March 8th carnival. Please contact Marjie
Mogul to help out.
RELIGIOUS SCHOOL
Classes resume on Wednesday, January 7.
Sunday School 9:00 am -12:00 pm.
Hebrew School on Wednesday 4:30-6:30pm.
ADULT EDUCATION
- Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm “What’s Jewish about Meditation?”
Followed at 8:30 pm by Torah for our Times. Both will be facilitated
by Michael Ross.
- NEW! “JEWISH THOUGHT” classes taught by Rabbi Rachel
Brown. Classes are on Tuesday nights 7:00-9:00 pm.
- Read Hebrew America starts December 7th. This five week course is
free and held Sundays at B’nai Jacob from 10:30-12:00. Call
